In the barracks “N.H. Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” in Tetovo, the members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3rd IBn) within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) and the other units located in the barracks, marked February 25, the Patron of the barracks, with a military ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Command and Staff of the 1st IBde, led by the commander, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski, a delegation from the 3rd IBn, representatives from the National Liberation Fighters’ Association from Tetovo, representatives from the National Liberation Fighters’ Association from Gostivar, delegation from a board of veterans, a delegation of reserve officers, a delegation of pensioners from Tetovo, a union of disabled workers and a delegation from the Museum of Tetovo. They paid tribute to the national hero Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu by laying fresh flowers.
The Commander of the 3rd IBn, Lieutenant Colonel Igor Stankovski gave a speech on the occasion of the Patron’s day in which he referred to the life and work of Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu, emphasizing that by celebrating the patron’s day every year we commemorate his name and work for the future generations.
On the occasion of this day, a blood donation by the members of Tetovo garrison was carried out, when 49 units of blood were donated.
