On 05.09.2014 the Joint Operations Command (JOC), the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1MIBde) and the Aviation Brigade (ABde) were visited by the USA Defence Attaché Office personnel in the Republic of Macedonia led by Colonel Thomas Batler.
The Defence Attaché and the Defence Office personnel on 03.09.2014 also visited the Army Medical Centre (AMC) which is part of the Logistic Support Brigade.
The aim of the visit was for the newly appointed personnel of the USA Defence Attaché Office to get acquainted with the Joint Operational Command and its subordinate units.
In accordance with the planned activities of the visit, the guests were welcomed by the JOC Commander, General Major Metodija Velichkovski which was followed by a presentation about the JOC.
After the JOC visit, the 1st MIBde and the ABde at Petrovec Garrison were visited, where the guests were also welcomed by the Commanders of the units and there were presentations about the units.
The USA Defence Attaché Office personnel through the presentations became familiar with the structure, the mission, the tasks, the training, the readiness of the service personnel and the participation in missions of the JOC, 1st MIBde, Abde, ARC and the key personnel.
