Today, November 12th, (Tuesday) at Joint Operational Command ‘JOC’, at military barracks “Boro Menkov” in Kumanovo, starting at 10 a.m., Lieutenant Colonel Robert Malezanski, member of the ARM aviation brigade, took the First Category of Professional and Combat Capacity Test (more popular as 1st pilot test) which is the top achievement in the carrier of a military pilot. Besides the aviation brigade commission, the Commander of JOC, Major General Metodija Velickovski, Deputy Commander of JOC, Brigadier General Muhamet Racaj and Chief of Staff at JOC, Brigadier General Stojan Dimchov, the chiefs of sections from JOC, and the commanders of the subordinate units also attended the event.
To reach the level needed for a military pilot to be able to take the 1st category of PCC, which consists of taking a theoretical test, it is necessary to meet many criteria, such as: to have at least four years of pilot duty as 2nd pilot, to have at least 700 hours of flying, not to have any disciplinary measures taken against him, for braking any service regulations or other, in a period of one year. Until today, many pilots of the ARM aviation have passed this test and have obtained the title – 1st pilot. This manner of categorizing of pilots is in accordance with the recommendations and standards of NATO and the International Civil Aviation Organization, which means that ARM pilots with this title are at the top of the trained pilots of the aviation in the NATO countries and worldwide.
Lieutenant Colonel Robert Malezanski, who successfully passed the exam today obtaining the title-1st pilot, has a rich pilot career, and is a pilot of military aircrafts: Seagull, Super Seagull, the supersonic jet fighter aircraft MIG 21, fighter aircraft Sukhoi 25, is a pilot instructor and a test pilot of Zlin 242L, pilot of combat helicopter Mi-24, since2001 took part in selection and training of 10 generations of pilots in the ARM and is the author of several SOPs, and the Programs for Integrated Training of Zlin 242L.
