Today, March 28, 2023, a commemoration was held in the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje on the occasion of twenty-two years since the tragic death of Captain 1st Class Ljupcho Mirchovski (then Commander of the Military Police Battalion – MPBn).
On that occasion, fresh flowers were laid by delegations from the Operations Command, led by the Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the Military Security and Intelligence Service Sector, representatives of the units located in the “Ilinden” barracks, representatives of the units under the Ministry of the Interior and members of the immediate family of the deceased Commander.
In front of the memorial in the “Ilinden” barracks, the Commander of the MPBn, Lt. Col. Nedjati Golak, had an address. By reading the biography of the tragically killed Commander, who was the pride of his unit, his huge contribution to the defence of the homeland, and the dignified manner in which he led the unit was commemorated.
