In accordance with the Program for cooperation with the Association of Defense Attachés accredited in the Republic of North Macedonia, attachés visited the 2nd infantry battalion in Shtip.
During today’s visit, the attachés got acquainted with the history and structure of the unit, its mission, tasks, current and planned activities that will be implemented by the end of the year, as well as modernization and supply of the necessary equipment that meets the standards of the Alliance.
After the briefing, the attachés accompanied by representatives of the Operations Command, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Sasko Lafchiski and the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Stojanche Kostov, had the opportunity to reconnoitre with some of the weapons and equipment of the Unit, and with the methodical demonstration exercise “Contact Reaction”.

After the visit to the barracks “Jane Sandanski”, in a reception organized by the mayor of Shtip, Dr. Sashko Nikolov in City Hall, the attachés were briefed about Shtip, its capacities, possibilities and future cooperation with the city.
