On 21 May 2026, third-year cadets from the Cadet and Officer Training Center of the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski”, as part of the course “Fire Control Systems”, conducted an educational visit to the Second Infantry Battalion (2nd IBn) of the First Infantry Brigade (1st Inf Bde) at the “Jane Sandanski” Barracks in Shtip.
During the visit, the cadets had the opportunity to familiarize with part of the individual and crew-served weapons and equipment, the new vehicles currently in use within the unit, the JLTV light tactical vehicle and the STRYKER armored personnel carrier, as well as with the operation of the simulator for the fire control system of the CROWS (Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station) remote weapon station, with which the armored vehicles are equipped, as part of the training process.
These activities are part of the educational process and are intended to encourage the cadets to further develop their practical and theoretical skills in real working conditions using the equipment and vehicles with which Army units are equipped.
