On 4 August 2026, at the “Boro Menkov” Barracks in Kumanovo, the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, officially welcomed 35 newly commissioned officers who, by order, have been appointed within the units of the Operations Command.
In his address, General Gjorgoski congratulated the officers on successfully completing their military education and earning their first commissioned rank, wishing them a successful start to their military careers. He emphasized that the officer profession demands the highest standards of professionalism, responsibility, discipline, and personal integrity, stressing that leadership is built through knowledge, leading by example, and continuous professional development.
“Lead with knowledge and integrity. Build an exceptionally professional relationship with the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps and make full use of their extensive experience, learn from them. You will master the equipment, weapons, and systems, but the greatest challenge is to lead people successfully. Therefore, invest in your professional development and never stop learning”, General Gjorgoski emphasized.
The event was attended by the Chiefs of Sections of the Operations Command. Through an informational presentation, the newly commissioned officers were introduced to the organizational structure, mission, roles and responsibilities, and key tasks of the Operations Command, the Army’s principal operational command.
As part of the activity, the Chief of the J-1 Section of the Operations Command read the officers’ appointment orders. Following the ceremony, the newly commissioned officers reported to their assigned subordinate units within the Operations Command, where they will assume their duties as officers and continue their professional development.
