Between 5 and 9 May 2014, during a working visit of the pilots from the Vermont National Guard of the USA to Air brigade, a workshop on the topic “Preparation process of the declared unit prior to a peacekeeping mission” took place.
At the workshop many topics were covered, including: declared helicopter unit plans prior to a peacekeeping mission deployment, a peacekeeping mission deployment, plans and capabilities for maintenance of resources, performing medical evacuation missions and more.
Also during the workshop the mutual experiences of performing and preparing for peacekeeping missions were shared and the opportunities for cooperation in the following period were looked at.
After the completion of work, the subordinate units were visited, some of the aircraft were displayed and plans for further modernization of helicopters were presented.
