On 31 August 2026, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski had a working meeting with the newly appointed US Defense Attaché to the Republic of North Macedonia, Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Shelley.
The meeting opened with a short briefing, during which the Defense Attaché was introduced to the mission, tasks, organizational structure, and key capabilities of the Operations Command (OC), as the largest operational command within the Army.
The meeting continued with an exchange of views on current activities, the development of operational capabilities, enhancing interoperability, and opportunities for further strengthening cooperation with the US Armed Forces.
The meeting was attended by the Command Chief of Staff, the Command Sergeant Major and the OC Chiefs of Sections, enabling a direct exchange of information and familiarization with the Command’s functional areas and priorities.
