On 14.04.2015 the Joint Operations Command (JOC) in Kumanovo was visited by a military delegation of the Armed Forces (AF) of the Republic of Poland led by the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Lieutenant General Marek Tomaszycki.
The military delegation was joined by the Polish ambassador to the Republic of Macedonia His Excellency, Jacek Multanowski and the Polish military attaché Colonel Adam Zugaj.
After the delegation was welcomed by the JOC Commander Major General Metodija Velichkovski and members of the command and staff, there was a meeting during which the Polish AF delegation had an opportunity to learn more about the structure and the mission of the JOC and at the same time share experiences and opinions.
Beside the presentation about JOC, there was also a discussion about the experiences of the units that had been deployed on peacekeeping missions, and the possibility for mutual exercises and training and the needs for modernization of the weapons and the military equipment.
The aim of the visit to JOC was to look into increasing the level of cooperation between the two Operations Commands through sharing knowledge and experience, which are of crucial importance for improvement of the interoperability of ARM units.
