In the past period, the members of the Unit for Suppression of Crime in Defense (USCD) from the Military Police Battalion (MPBn) realized professional-specialist training in their scope of work in the “Ilinden” barracks.
Within the training, the topics from the Manual for handling material traces from the scene, issued by the Department for Forensic Technical Examinations and Expertise at the Ministry of Interior, were developed. The practical elaboration of the procedures enabled the unification of the procedures, methods and techniques for providing material evidence during the on-site investigations, as well as the technical means for providing inspection.
By mastering the topics, the members of USCD will gain a high degree of professional competence in terms of forensic-technical processing at the scene, i.e. they will know well the character and origin of the material traces (how they occur, how to find them, cause them and record them), as well as to know how to interpret and analyze them at the scene based on their occurrence and the situation in which they are found.
The training was conducted in compliance with the COVID-19 preventive measures and protocols for all jobs, as well as with protocol for organizing events in accordance with the recommendations of the Commission for Infectious Diseases for Covid-19.
