Military Police Battalion celebrated the 29th of October – the Day of the Military Police Battalion, at the military barracks Ilinden. There were a lot of guests at the official ceremony including the Commander of the Operations Command, Major General Pavle Arsoski, the Commander of the Training Command and Doctrine, Brigadier General Metodi Hadji-Janev, the Chief of SMSSI, Colonel Goran Vasilevski, other army units’ commanders, former commanders and Military Police servicemen, representatives of the local government office, state and private companies, and other guests.
General Arsoski addressed the audience and said that Military Police Battalion personnel do their assignments successfully due to their professionalism, commitment and efficiency. Their assignments include security of person and facility security, maintaining good order and military discipline, crime prevention within the army and assistance in dealing with migrant crisis.
The Commander of the Military Police Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Kire Nikolovski also addressed the audience and said that Military Police Battalion completed a lot of assignments which are part of the mission of the unit, among which are the international military police exercise “Beyond the Horizon” in Bulgaria and all in-country military exercises. Their self-sacrifice, professionalism, readiness, and skills are acknowledged by in-country and foreign partners, therefore, they are praised and appreciated every day.
At the Day of the Military Police ceremony, there were congratulations letters read as well as incentives presented to the Military Police Battalion service personnel for their successful work.
As part of the Day of the Military Police celebrations there was a voluntary blood donation which once again confirmed the solidarity and humanity of the military personnel.
