DANCON March is an old tradition of the Danish Army which dates back to 1972. The march, which is popular on a national level, is gaining international popularity in Namibia, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan, i.e. in countries where the Danish Army is currently present or used to participate in operations.
Carrying on the tradition, this year in Kosovo, the allied forces which are part of KFOR competed in the 23 kilometer endurance march, in their best possible time, while carrying 10kg weight on them.
Two members of the Macedonian contingent, part of KFOR, took part in the march. They successfully completed the endurance march, side by side with their NATO allies, signing their names in the long-lasting Danish tradition.
