On 12 January 2026, service personnel of the First Infantry Battalion, part of the First Infantry Brigade, together with the Municipality of Kichevo, the Public Municipal Utility Enterprise, and volunteers from the Red Cross of Kichevo, through coordinated work and by providing support in clearing up the flood damage, significantly accelerated the process of normalizing daily life for the affected population.
The activities of Army personnel proved to be crucial in addressing the damage caused by the floods. Through excellent coordination with local self-government authorities, the consequences were dealt with within a very short period of time.
The Army remains fully committed to the protection and assistance of the civilian population and it is always ready to provide support wherever it is needed.
