From 28.10 to 9.11.2019, 24 servicemen of the Operations Command (OC) participated in the “Maple Arch 2019” exercise in Zitomir, Republic of Hungary.
During the computer assisted exercise the Army servicemen were appointed to different staff posts, within the international battalion, together with the Armed Forces of Montenegro, as well as to other posts within the headquarters of the brigade. The involved personnel demonstrated a high level of professionalism during the working process.
Approximately 250 people, personnel from Hungary, Canada, Georgia, Lithuania, Poland, Montenegro and the Republic of North Macedonia participated in the “Maple Arch 2019” exercise. The scenario of the exercise is a fictional situation and a modified version of the NATO approved OCCASUS scenarios of the procedures of the battalion headquarters in the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP).
For the Army personnel, the execution of the tasks within the headquarters represents upgrading of the knowledge already gained in relation to the working posts and a good opportunity to promote the interoperability of the staff procedures in an international environment.
