In the frameworks of the planned activities to mark 20th May, the Day of the Logistic Support Brigade, on 15th May 2015 in the transport company of the Centre for Supply and Support in Illinden Barracks a contest for the best driver was held.
Three previously chosen best drivers from the Center for Supply and Support showed their driving skills at the contest by parking a truck, changing tires and presenting their theoretical knowledge of traffic rules and traffic safety.
Earlier on 5th May 2015 in Technical and Repair Centre mechanics competed in theoretical knowledge on functions of basic vehicle parts, functions of sub-parts and systems of a vehicle, pressure measurement of the working space in the engine’s cylinders.
Commission with representatives from the LSB assessed the contestants transparently and objectively and according to the results declared Cpl Muzaffer Saliu from the department for special vehicles in the CSS the best driver and civilian Alexander Tanevski the best mechanic.
The contests for best individuals with military expertise required in LSB finished with these activities. Besides best driver and mechanics also best cook and best orderly were chosen.
The best individuals within their field of expertise will be awarded on 20th May at the celebration of the day of the unit.
