Today, August 7, 2015, in the barracks “Mirche Acev” in Prilep, with a military ceremony was marked the 14th anniversary of the death of ten members of the ARM reserve forces of the Prilep garrison in the military conflict in 2001.
In honor of the fallen members, a delegation from the Prilep garrison, the local government and from the Prilep municipality council as well as representatives from the local MoD in Prilep, the association of defenders and the families of the fallen soldiers laid fresh flowers at the memorial in the Prilep barracks.
In addition to this activity, the attendees had the opportunity to view the memorial room situated in the barracks area dedicated to the ten members of the reserve forces of the Army of the Prilep garrison.
At today’s commemoration, the ARM members and the attendees once again paid tribute to the fallen members for their courage, selflessness and sacrifice by selflessly giving their life to defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of their homeland Macedonia.
Tomorrow, a joint delegation of the MoD and the ARM GS will pay tribute to the fallen ARM members at the memorial plaque in the locality “Karpalak” and at the memorial “Karpalak” in Prilep.
During the conflict in 2001 on the road to Tetovo near Karpalak, members of the ARM reserve forces: Nane Naumovski, Sasho Kitanovski Branko Sekuloski, Vebi Rushitoski, Goran Minoski, Darko Veljanoski, Marko Despotoski, Peco Sekuloski, Erdovan Shabanoski and Ljube Grujoski lost their lives.
