The Deputy Minister of Defence, Elfet Ismaili, visited today the Operations Command in the “Boro Menkov” barracks in Kumanovo, where she met with the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Chief of Staff of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, and the chiefs of sections within the command.
During today’s visit, the Deputy Minister of Defence was briefed on the mission and tasks performed by this Command, the main force of the Army, which includes the largest number of army units from all branches and services, as well as its contribution to peace support and security operations led by NATO, the United Nations and the European Union.
At today’s briefing, the Deputy Minister of Defence expressed her gratitude to all members of the Operations Command for everything that has been accomplished so far within the command and its units.
“I want to get acquainted with the situation and challenges and do everything necessary for you to perform your work impeccably,” said the Deputy Minister of Defence.
At the briefing, the Deputy Minister of Defence was also informed about the future steps of the Operations Command, including equipment and modernization, training and exercises, and the adoption and implementation of NATO standards.
