In the period from 11.09 to 06.10.2023 at ATA “Krivolak” and the training ground “Penush”, reconnaissance training was carried out with instructors from the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom (UK) for the members of the 2nd Infantry Battalion (2nd InfBn) within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st InfBde) from the Operations Command.
The end of the training was attended by UK Ambassador Matthew Lawson and the commander of the 1st InfBde Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski. The guests followed the final activities of the training carried out by the reconnaissance platoon of the 2nd InfBn and the reconnaissance department of the military intelligence company of the 1st InfBde. They had the opportunity to see the training and readiness of the unit to perform complex reconnaissance tasks.
During the training, the focus was placed on practical exercises for making observers, close reconnaissance and raids, where the personnel showed high motivation and dedication in the realization of the tasks.
The training with instructors from the UK Armed Forces is part of the training cycle for the members of the Light Infantry Battalion (LIBn), who in the past period, in addition to this training, also carried out individual training, leadership training, departmental training, close combat training and combat training in an urban environment.
