Within the period from 02.03.2015 to 06.03.2015 in accordance with the Annual Training Plan, the members of the armored patrol platoon of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion in the 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion had a winter conditions training in the area “Lisec”, Pljackovica.
The purpose of the training was their expert and methodical training in organization and execution of combat tasks in winter conditions, movement in snow, overcoming snow obstacles with additional equipment as well as working in winter conditions.
It was planned to make snow installations in the mountain in winter conditions, postures for shooting with a personal weapon in winter conditions, first aid for frostbites and evacuation of wounded, realization of physical fitness marches, ways of movement in mountain areas and deep snow.
For successful responding with the challenges of winter conditions and especially the areas in the mountain it is necessary to be psychologically and physically prepared.
Our members were prepared to face the above mentioned challenges at very low temperatures, wind and snow; the planned activities were successfully realized.
