Today, November 9, a delegation from the Army and the Ministry of Defense, led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, laid a wreath of fresh flowers at the British Military Cemetery in Skopje to mark “Remembrance Sunday”.
The “Remembrance Sunday” ceremony, traditionally organized by the British Embassy, carries a dual significance: it serves as a commemoration and tribute to the British Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives during the First World War, and as an act of respect for military and civilian victims of all nationalities who have died in wars or conflicts in the pursuit of peace.
