The Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army (DCGS), Major General Azim Nuredin, participated in the ceremony held in Bitola on the occasion of the 123rd Anniversary of the graduation of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk at the then Military High School.
In his address, General Nuredin, emphasized the cooperation that our two countries have, especially in the field of defense, which started in 1994, primarily with obtaining education in prestigious Turkish Military Training Centers, participation in joint trainings, exercises and PSOs.
The cooperation between our Army and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey, now as NATO allies is further expanding enabling interoperability of the armies in the alliance. The Republic of Turkey with overall continued support contributes to the modernization of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, added General Nuredin in front of the attendees.
This year’s commemoration, in honor of the persona and professional engagement of Kemal Ataturk, as an outstanding promoter of the principle of understanding among nations and permanent world peace, was attended bythe Deputy Defense Minister Bashkim Hasani, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of North Macedonia Hasan Sekizkok and the Defense Attaché, Colonel Serkan Cakir.
