Delegation of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Defence, led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, paid tribute to the fallen members of the Army, by laying a wreath of fresh flowers in front of the memorials in the village of Ljubanci and Volkovo,
The Minister of Defence Slavjanka Petrovska and General Gjurchinovski also laid a wreath of fresh flowers in front of the memorial in the barracks “Ilinden” and paid tribute to the members of the Army, who lost their lives 22 years ago at the area Ljubotenski Bachila.
The Ministry of Defense and Army General Staff delegations laid a wreath of fresh flowers in front of the memorial of the defender Tomislav Nastevski, in the Municipality of Gjorche Petrov.
On 10 August 2001, Tome Badarovski, Goce Chankulovski, Branko Janev, Tomislav Nastevski, Marjancho Boshkovski, Ivica Zlatevski, Tome Dimovski and Rade Jankovski, members of the Army reserve, were killed when the army truck ran over a land mine on the road near Ljubotenski Bachila.
