The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, held a farewell meeting with the outgoing US Defense Attaché in the Republic of North Macedonia, Colonel Michael Tarquinto, today.
General Gjurchinovski expressed his gratitude to Colonel Tarquinto for the engagement and promotion of bilateral cooperation so far and wished him success in the future.
At the meeting they discussed the support and excellent inter-army cooperation between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the US Armed Forces, which are our strategic partner and ally. At the same time, assurance was expressed for the continuation and further strengthening of the continuous cooperation between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Armed Forces of the United States, which is realized by joint training activities promoting interoperability in the Alliance, support for the development of capacities, as well as professional development of the members of the army at the military academies in the USA.
