Today 05.02.2014 on the slopes of Mountain Bistra in the wider region of Mavrovo, winter conditions training with the members of the Special Operations Regiment was completed.
The training was conducted in the period from 20.01.2014 to 05.02.2014, and it was attended by around 200 members of the unit.
The purpose of the training was to maintain combat readiness of the members of the Special Operations Regiment to perform tasks in all weather and meteo conditions, to be highly skilled professionals, materially and psychologically prepared for life and work in mountain conditions and extremely low temperatures, applying the resources they have available.
During the training in winter conditions unit trained in making objects for accommodating, winter marches, first aid and medical training measures and procedures in winter, small-bore rifle shooting etc. During the training unit was visited by the Minister of Defense and Deputy Chief of General Staff. The overall general conclusion was that the unit can fully perform assigned tasks regardless of weather conditions.
