From 29 January to 16 February, 2024 Military and Medical English Course was held in the Language Classroom in the Medical Training Department (MTD) within the Military Medical Center (MMC). The course was attended and successfully completed by the Chief of the Medical Training Department and the Instructors of the Centre.
This type of specialized course was held for the first time as a pilot project, organized by the Training and Doctrine Command and the Foreign Languages Center.
The course was created according to the specific needs of the Army medical personnel and conducted by the teachers of FLC.
The lectures were conducted through theoretical and practical training.
The course included the military and medical terminology topics covering vocabulary required for patient examination, describing injuries, reporting a medical incident, communication with relevant experts and military personnel and units during evacuation, as well as preparing and making a presentation and a briefing in the relevant context. All skills included theoretical and practical training using military and military terminology.
The acquired knowledge is of great importance to the participants who attended the course and will be utilized in their everyday work.
