In the period from February 7th until February 18th 2015 the cadets from the second year in the Cadets Training Centre conducted a practical training – training in winter conditions. The training was conducted on the ski slopes “Kolashin” in Montenegro and in accordance with the bilateral military cooperation between the Army of Montenegro and the Army of Republic of Macedonia.
During the implementation of the training the cadets mastered the basic elements, skills and line activities in skiing, Nordic running, shooting positions on skis, using the cable car and ski lift and making shelters for survival in winter conditions.
Deputy Chief of the Army of Montenegro, Colonel Zoran Lazarevic, visited the cadets and expressed his satisfaction that the future officers of the Republic of Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro are their guests.
During the training the cadets were also visited by a delegation led by the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Montenegro, Mr. Aleksandar Vasilevski and the military attaché of Montenegro, Colonel Doncho Kuzmanov, Associate Dean for Finance and International Cooperation of the Military Academy, Colonel Aleksandar Glavinov and the Commander of the Cadets Training Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Haralampie Trajkov. During the visit the officials observed the practical skills of the cadets in the implementation of the planned content of the training.
All skills from the basic training in winter conditions which the cadets will gain are required for every prospective modern and well-trained officer of the Army, especially during the execution of combat tasks that need to be implemented in the winter.
