On 30th of July 2015 the Training and Doctrines Command conducted sport competitions within the activities marking the 18th of August – the Day of the Army of Republic of Macedonia. The sports competitions were held in the disciplines of chess and table tennis in the barracks “Alekso Demnievski Bauman”, and the discipline futsal, which was held in the sports hall of the elementary school “Blaze Koneski” in Veles.
At the sporting events, besides sports teams from the Command and its subordinate units, the teams of the local government of Veles actively participated as well. The competitions were opened by the authorities of the Command who wished the participants fair-play and success in the competitions.
Upon completion of the sporting events, the best sports teams were given appropriate diplomas. The sports team of the Training and Doctrines Command was chosen as an overall winner of the sporting events, during the competition this team won two first places in the disciplines chess and table tennis.
Realization of the sports competitions contributed towards further development of the competitive and team spirit among the competitors – the members of the Training and Doctrines Command. The best individuals and teams from today’s competition will be a part of the Training and Doctrines Command team at the upcoming sports competitions on ARM level, which will be held in early August at the military stadium in Skopje, as part of the activities for marking the Day of the Army.
