Today, the members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, who attend the three-month basic non-commissioned officers course at the TA Krivolak, in coordination with the State Statistical Office, fulfilled their duty in accordance with the Law on Census of Population.
At the Training Center “Pepelishte”, in compliance with all the COVID-19 protocols, all members of the Army who participate in the basic non-commissioned officers course, as participants or as trainers, provided the required information to the enumerators.
The census was organized in Pepelishte today due to the fact that the Army members will not be at their homes when the census is conducted, since their course lasts until April 26.
The representative of the State Statistical Office, Iva Gjorgjieva said that this is the first phase of the official census that will be conducted from April 1.
“It is a regular procedure in all censuses. The census is going well and all the measures for COVID-19 are observed. Also, the census is conducted with an electronic application, it is fast and we assume that we will finish today “, informed Gjorgjieva.
Besides the members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, who were enumerated today, in this phase of the census participate the Army members who are in the international missions “Resolute Support” in Afghanistan, KFOR in Kosovo, UNIFIL in Lebanon, Althea in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU mission in the Central African Republic.
The Army members who are performing their regular duties throughout the country will be enumerated like all other citizens, when the census is held from 1 to 21 April 2021.
