Today, units of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia participating in the international exercise “Anaconda-16” started the activities at the locations where they are stationed, in accordance with the assigned tasks as part of the joint activities with the other contingents.
ARM members from the mechanized infantry company, in the area of Drawsko – Pomorskie are engaged in all-day activities of the situational exercises which are to be used in the final exercise activities according to the given scenario.
Members of the Military Police Platoon and of the Special Operations Regiment, at their locations of deployment, have been carrying out their assigned tasks for two days already, displaying previously gained experience.
During the day members of the Military Police Platoon, together with their colleagues from the 709 Military Police Battalion of the US Army, carried out tasks of securing a safe river crossing of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, after which they themselves crossed the pontoon bridge built by the Engineer units from the German and UK Armed Forces.
During the operation, the Military Police unit and the camp where our members are stationed was visited by Major General Duane A. Gamble, Major General Mark S. Inch and Colonel Arturo J. Horton of the US Army.
According to the exercise scenario, in the following days the exercise activities and assigned tasks are to be intensified and become more complex.
