Today, 12th of September 2015 (Saturday) the memorial Futsal tournament “Macedonian Heroes” was opened in sport center “Boris Trajkovski”. The participants of the event were as follows: Minister of Defence Mr. Zoran Jolevski, Chief of General Staff of ARM Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski, JOC Commander Brigadier General Vasko Djurchinovski, high representatives from the Ministry of Interior and other guests.
Minister Jolevski opened the tournament and emphasized the importance of organizing such an event through which we keep up the competitive spirit and show our gratitude to the ones who gave their lives for our country Republic of Macedonia. He also stressed that in 2001 heroes lost their lives in Kumanovo. The matches of the tournament “Macedonian Heroes” started with the Minister of interior Mr. Mitko Chavkov’s first strike, who wished all teams success on the tournament and also expressed his hopes that the tournament traditions will continue.
This is the fifth time the tournament is organized and apart from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior teams, and a team from ARM there were participants from different municipalities in Macedonia in which there were fallen heroes.
The tournament “Macedonian Heroes” was organized by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior and the association “Macedonian Heroes”.
