On 17th August, 2015, in the barracks “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles a ceremony was held on the occasion of 18th August Day of ARM. The ceremony was attended by employees of the barracks, a representative of the General Staff and invited guests from the local government, state institutions and associations from Veles.
This ceremony was the last in the series of TRADOC activities to mark the twenty-third birthday of ARM. Earlier, on 14th August 2015 in the Youth Park in Veles, “Open Office of TRADOC” was organized from 20:00 to 22:00 during which its members: officers, NCOs and soldiers wearing different uniforms communicated with citizens of Veles in order to bring ARM closer, by familiarizing them with their life and work.
Before the ceremony on the occasion of ARM Day a delegation led by TRADOC Commander Colonel Ljupco Kostovski laid flowers at the ossuary in Veles, the memorial of World War II fallen soldiers and victims of fascism. A delegation of the Municipal Organization of the WWII veterans also paid tribute. Fresh flowers were laid at the monument of Alekso Demnievski in the barracks.
Orders for promotion and incentives for members of the garrison Veles were read at the ceremony. On the occasion of previously completed sports games a cup for the most successful team, the team of TRADOC, was handed. The commander of TRADOC handed certificates of appreciation for successful cooperation to the Medical Center, primary school “Blaze Koneski” and the forest institute “Babuna” from Veles.
