Today, at the military barracks ‘Alekso Demnievski – Bauman’ – in Veles, a military ceremony was held on the occasion of taking a solemn oath by the soldiers on a volunteer military service from the generation “October” 2014.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense of RM, Mr. Zoran Jolevski, Deputy Chief of the GS of the ARM, Lieutenant General Naser Sejdini, Brigadier General Stojan Dimchov, Brigadier General Pavle Arsovski, representatives of the ARM units, local government representatives, soldiers’ families and other guests.
In his address, at today’s ceremony, Minister Jolevski pointed out that in the following months the mission of these soldiers was to learn the secret of military skill. He also added that they would receive help and support from the experienced instructors from the Individual Training Centre of the Training and Doctrine Command.
Addressing the volunteer soldiers’ families, the Minister said that the Ministry employees and the ARM members would give their best to contribute to the development of the skills and knowledge of the soldiers. “Military profession is currently a highly valued skill. Your sons and daughters have chosen the right path”, said Minister Jolevski in his address.
The Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Ljupcho Kostovski, in his speech informed the soldiers that what follows in the next period was hard work in mastering the planned training program. Acquired knowledge and the efforts would later be evaluated; it would be one of the elements for those willing to choose the military profession in the future.
In the 24th generation of soldiers on volunteer military service, 226 soldiers took the oath, 14 out of which are women. The citizens of Republic of Macedonia who have completed volunteer military service are the basis for further selection of future professional soldiers in the Army of Republic of Macedonia.
