After attending the NATO Military Committee in Chiefs of Defense Session in Brussels, the Chief of General Staff of the Army Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski today officially visited NATO Joint Forces Command in Brunssum.
During his visit, General Gjurchinovski met with the Commander of the Joint Forces Command General Riccardo Marchio. Following discussions with the Commander, General Gjurchinovski met with high-level representatives of the headquarters for a mutually beneficial round table discussion.
At the meetings, they discussed about current and upcoming activities which are significant for our country in the process of NATO accession and becoming a full NATO member country, including joint military activities with NATO.
Amongst other issues discussion touched upon the potential contribution of North Macedonia to the NATO Response Force once membership is ratified.
Tomorrow, General Gjurchinovski will meet with the United Kingdom military representative to NATO, Lieutenant General Sir George Norton when they will discuss bilateral military cooperation and further joint military activities.
