Chief of General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, traditionally had a meeting with the former Chiefs of GS and retired generals. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Defense Radmila Shekjerinska and Deputy Chief of GS Major General Azim Nuredin.
The retired generals in attendance were informed about the stage of the reforming processes in the Army, transformation, predicted legal changes in the defense, ongoing and planned activities in the Republic and peacekeeping missions, as well as the plans and challenges of the following year.
During the discussion the former Chiefs of GS and generals received acknowledgement for their engagement and contribution in the Army and the achieved level of readiness for the full-fledged NATO membership.
Throughout the meeting, which is held traditionally, the former Chiefs and retired generals contribute to the development of the Army by sharing their viewpoints and suggestions about current affairs in the area of defense based on their experience serving in the Army.
