Today, a ceremony in the Engineering Battalion was held on the occasion of handing over the duty Commander of the Engineering Battalion. The duty from the current Commander, Colonel Arben Jakupi was handed over to Lieutenant Colonel Tome Peev.
At the ceremony, the Commander of the Operations Command, Major General Pavle Arsovski addressed the audience and said that this unit, as well as the Army are in a process of transformation and that it will be followed by a process of equipping of the Engineering Battalion with new mechanization and equipment, by which the unit could perform its mission completely.
Colonel Arben Jakupi stated that during his period as a Commander of the Engineering Battalion he had realized several exercises and activities, putting accent on the “National Response 2019” exercise. He also stated that the Engineering Battalion led by the new Commander would also continue giving its best efforts in the performance of its mission.
The new Commander in his speech expressed gratitude for the given trust and asked the members of the Engineering Battalion to continue performing their tasks professionally, to be dedicated and to deal with the upcoming tasks and challenges.
