Today in the barracks “Chojlija” in the garrison Petrovec, the members of the tank battalion (TBn) from the composition of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde), marked the Day of the Unit.
The commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Sashko Lafchiski, addressed the lined up soldiers of the tank battalion, congratulated them on the Day of the Unit and successful execution of tasks and responsibilities in the past period. The commander of TBn, Lieutenant Colonel Dejancho Glicheski emphasized the historical path, spirit and tradition of the unit, built over the past 30 years, rooted deeply in each member of the tank battalion, that date back to June 2, 1993, the day when Tank Platoon was established as part of the Guard Brigade of the Army, as well as the achievements in the training, daily activities and future responsibilities.
The ceremony was attended by the commanders of the subordinate units of the 1st Infantry Brigade, the chiefs of sections of the command and staff of the 1st Infantry Brigade.
On the occasion of the Day of the Unit, incentives were given to battalion members who excelled in their work and training, and who contributed to strengthening of unit’s combat readiness. The best platoon of the tank battalion was also declared.
