Successful completion of the “First Aid and Self-help Course”

From 29^th August to 2^nd September, 2022, at the Medical Training Section of the Battalion for Military Medical Support, a course for First Aid and self-help was held. Artillery Battalion members from Prilep participated in the course, which is part of the preparation activities for ‘NATO enhanced Forward Presence’ mission in Latvia.

Course participants acquired basic skills for determining life-threatening conditions, as well as providing first aid. Numerous topics were covered and lectures were organized for: immobilization, evacuation and transport; gunshot wounds; insect and snake bites; sunstroke and heatstroke; frostbite and hypothermia; and other. Many practical exercises were completed by the course participants.
