The Chief of General Staff, General Vasko Gjurchinovski, accompanied by the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska, as part of the planned visits to the Army commands and units, toured the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in the “Alexo Demnievski Bauman” barracks in Veles, today.
During the visit, TRADOC Commander Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, briefed on the tasks and activities carried out in TRADOC, the Development Plan for ATA “Krivolak” 2023-2028, the basic training of professional soldiers, the courses for non-commissioned officers, as well as on the process of development of rules, guidelines and doctrines.
General Gjurchinovski and Minister Petrovska visited the Simulations Center, where simulated computer-assisted exercises are performed up to the brigade level. Last year the Simulation Centre hosted the computer-assisted exercise “Seven stars”, conducted in cooperation with the South-Eastern Europe Brigade – SEEBRIG. At the briefing, Petrovska was introduced to the possibilities offered by this center, which can also be used to simulate exercises for the protection of critical infrastructure.
The members of the Army who are currently attending the First Non-Commissioned Officers Course, as well as the newly recruited professional soldiers who are currently undergoing professional training and will be part of the infantry, were also visited today.
At the end of the tour, an inspection was made of the renovated facility in the Veles barracks, which is intended for accommodation and training. The facility has been completely renovated according to the highest standards.
