Today, in the Military Police Battalion (MPBn) there was a change of command marked with a military ceremony and the unit’s flag handover, held at the Ilinden barracks. Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Stankoski, the former Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander of the MPBn, took over duty the Commander of the MPBn from Lieutenant Colonel Nexhati Golak.
The ceremony was attended by the unit’s personnel and distinguished guests. Speeches were delivered by the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the outgoing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Nexhati Golak, and the incoming commander, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Stankoski.
In his speech, Brigadier General Besnik Emini emphasized that the OC, as the first superior command of the MPBn, was particularly proud that, under the leadership of the outgoing commander, had proved its capabilities and capacities through selfless contributions in performing numerous military police tasks, training activities, and missions, while continuously contributing to the affirmation of the Army. He honored the outgoing commander with the OC Plaque, expressing gratitude for his leadership and personal contribution to the development of the unit and its achievements. Brigadier General Emini also congratulated the incoming commander and wished him success in commanding and managing the unit.
The outgoing commander of the MPBn, Lieutenant Colonel Nexhati Golak, emphasized that the members of the unit proudly cherish the traditions of their predecessors. The execution of numerous tasks related to the unit’s mission leaves no room for improvisation or selectivity. The security of the residential facilities of the Commander-in-Chief, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff facilities, and foreign military delegations demonstrates the seriousness of the entrusted tasks. He noted that dedication, professionalism, readiness, and knowledge are recognized by both domestic and foreign partners, and numerous commendations and recognitions are regularly received for its achievements.
In his speech, the incoming commander of the MPBn, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Stankoski, expressed gratitude to the outgoing commander for his leadership and the results achieved under his command. He emphasized that he was particularly proud of the trust given by his superiors and that it was a great honor and pleasure to command the MPBn, a unit that had repeatedly proven itself in carrying out its tasks.
The ceremony was attended by the OC Commander, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, the Commander of the Logistic Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, the Chiefs of Organizational Units in the General Staff and the OC, former commanders of the MPBn, commanders of other Army units, and other distinguished guests.
