Brigadier General Chris McKinney, Deputy Director for Partnering Security Cooperation and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction at USEUCOM, paid a working visit to the Army of Republic of North Macedonia today.
During the visit, General McKinney had a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafciski, at which they discussed further cooperation with a focus on regional plans and current and future projects for development of the Army Training Area “Krivolak”. In addition, the participation in joint trainings and exercises was discussed, with an emphasis on the upcoming exercises “Immediate Response 25” and “Saber Junction 25”, aimed at improving the interoperability when performing operations in a multinational combined environment.
As part of today’s visit, General Chris McKinney also had the opportunity to visit the Training Area “Krivolak”, where he was informed about the training area’s capabilities for conducting a variety of training and complex exercise operations, as well as its accommodation facilities.
