The Army futsal team won third place at the “15th Futsal Cup for Peace,” held in Kolashin, Montenegro, from 13 to 18 October. In addition to the team’s success, Private First Class, Filip Lazarevski was awarded the title of Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. This represents the team’s greatest achievement to date in this regional competition, which has been organized continuously for 15 years under the patronage of the International Military Sports Council.
Alongside the host nation, the tournament also featured futsal teams from the armed forces of Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
The “Futsal Cup for Peace,” which will be hosted by our country next year, aims to promote tolerance, friendship, and peace through sport and to strengthen cooperation among the armies of the region.
Through their participation, the members of the Army represented our country with dignity, demonstrating sporting spirit, teamwork, fair play, and commitment to peace and friendship among nations.
