The service personnel of the Third Infantry Battalion (3rd IBn) within the First Infantry Brigade (1st IBde), along with other units stationed at the “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” barracks in Tetovo, marked 25 February – the Patron Day of the barracks, and the 82nd anniversary since the death of the national hero Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu, with a military ceremony.
The commander of the 3rd IBn, Lieutenant Colonel Mile Stanoevski addressed the attendees on the occasion of the barracks’ Patron Day reflecting on the life and work of Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu. He emphasized that by commemorating this day each year, we help ensure that his name and legacy remain in the memory of future generations.
At the commemoration, fresh flowers were laid by delegations from: the Command and Staff of the 1st IBde, the 3rd IBn, representatives of religious communities, representatives of the local self-government, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and representatives of the public and private sectors with whom the Command of the Tetovo Garrison maintains excellent cooperation.
On the occasion of this day, a voluntary blood donation campaign was carried out at the Tetovo Garrison, and 32 units of blood were donated.
