On 29 March 2026, joint air activities were conducted at the Army Training Area “Krivolak” as part of the exercise “Neptune Strike 26”, with the aim of enhancing interoperability and coordination between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and NATO allied forces. Personnel from the Air Force VING, the Italian Air Force, and the French Armed Forces participated in the activities.
The Air Surveillance and Reporting Battalion, together with the JTAC team from the AF VING Command Company, in coordination with a JTAC team from the French Armed Forces, successfully carried out the coordination and guidance of the Italian Air Force F-35 and AV-8B combat aircraft during the final phases of attack training, enabling high efficiency and precision in air operations.
All activities were conducted in accordance with NATO standards and procedures, with full implementation of safety measures for protection of personnel, equipment, and the environment.
This activity once again confirmed the high level of interoperability and readiness of the Army for integrated operations with allied forces, as well as its capability for effective coordination with modern NATO systems and platforms.
The exercise “Neptune Strike 26” represents a significant contribution to the enhancement and strengthening of the cooperation within the Alliance.
