The “15th Army Cross-Country Championship in Running”, organized by the General Staff of the Army, was traditionally held in the sports center “Hippodrome”.
Members of the Army and athletes from the Athletic Federation of Macedonia took part in the race, 8000 meters for men and 4800 meters for women. At today’s sports event in women’s competition, Sergeant Maria Pelikon won first place, Silvana Veljusliev the second and Diana Lapevska the third. The best team in women’s competition was the General Staff team, second were the members of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion and third the Training and Doctrine Command team.
In men’s competition, Private Milosh Ranchikj won the first place, Captain Zhan Tosev won the second place and Private Trajche Ilijevski won the third. Team members of the Special Forces Battalion won the first place, the Logistic Base took the second place, and the Training and Doctrine Command came in third.
Upon completion of the competition, the most successful individuals and teams were awarded medals and cups.
