This year, the 16th Cross Country Army Championship was traditionally organized by the General Staff of the Army at the sports center Hipodrom.
The Cross Country Army Championship was conducted on the Hipodrom sports center running lane. The service personnel of the Army and other contestants from a few athletics clubs ran 8000 meters for men and 4800 meters for women.
The winner of this year’s Cross country championship for men on the 8000 meters lane was professional soldier Milosh Ranchich, whereas for women on the 4800 meters lane, the winner was Captain Dijana Lapevska.
The best women’s cross country running team was comprised of the service personnel from the Center for Supply and Transport, the second place were the service personnel from the Special Forces Battalion, and the third place belonged to the runners from the 2nd Infantry Battalion. The best men’s cross country running team was comprised of the service personnel from the Special Forces Battalion, the second place were the service personnel from the 2nd Infantry Battalion and the third place belonged to the service personnel team from the Honor Guard Battalion.
All winners, individuals and teams, received medals and trophy cups.
