At the invitation of the Macedonian Sports Shooting Federation, four teams from the Army units participated in the 18th International Open Shooting Tournament “Grand Prix Skopje 2024”, held on May 25 and 26 at the Kamnik shooting range in Skopje.
At one of the largest and most attractive tournaments in sports archery, of this kind in Europe, in which Army members traditionally participate, they had the opportunity to demonstrate their readiness in the disciplines in which they competed and in which they achieved notable results.
Army personnel competed in the 25-meter pistol shooting, 100-meter rifle shooting and 200-meter sniper semi-automatic rifle shooting.
In the competitions in which 339 participants took part, in the individual competition Sergeant Dragoslav Kudranovikj won the first place in the rifle discipline at 100 meters, in the team competition the team from VP 2803 Skopje, consisting of Sergeant Kire Janev, Sergeant Dimitar Stojanovski and Sergeant Dragoslav Kudranovikj won the second place.
The high places won by the army personnel in this competition reflect the readiness and training in shooting skills.
The commander of the First Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski addressed the participants at the opening of the 18th competition, wishing them success and achieving good results during the tournament.
The organizer of the 18th International Open Shooting Tournament, the Macedonian Sports Shooting Federation, awarded the best teams and individuals a trophy and medals after the competition.
