At the invitation of the Macedonian Sports Shooting Federation held at the shooting range “Kamnik”, at the 16th International Open Shooting Tournament “Grand Prix Skopje 2022”, teams from the Army traditionally took part in the disciplines: shooting with a pistol at 25 meters, shooting with a 7.62 mm automatic rifle at 100 meters and shooting with a semi-automatic rifle at 100 meters.
At the opening of the 16th “Grand Prix Skopje 2022”, the Operations Command Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski addressed the participants and wished them success and achievement of great results during the tournament.
Again this year the Army members demonstrated readiness to handle their weapons, achieving remarkable results.
From the General Staff of the Army, Lance Corporal Dragoslav Kudranovikj won the first place in 100 meters individual assault rifle discipline.
In women’s individual competition 100 meters assault rifle, cadet Martina Stamenova from the cadet’s battalion won the first place, cadet Milica Perishikj won the second place, and the third place was won by Junior Sergeant Irena Panova Petrovska from the 1st Infantry Brigade.
In the 25 metres pistol discipline individual competition, the third place was won by Staff Sergeant 1st Class Irena Lekovska, a member of the Ranger Battalion. The second place from team disciplines was won by a team from the General Staff of the Army consisting of Staff Sergeant 1st class Irena Lekovska, Junior Sergeant Zhaneta Panova Petrovska.
The first place in 100 meters assault rifle men’s competition was won by the team consisting of Sergeant Major Tomislav Gonchev, Staff Sergeant 1st class Dragan Stojkovski and Lance Corporal Dragoslav Kudranovikj from the General Staff of the Army. In women’s competition it was won by the team from the cadet battalion consisting of Martina Stamenova, Milica Perishikj and Adelaida Beganovikj.
The organizer of the 16th International Open Shooting Tournament, the Macedonian Sports Shooting Federation, awarded the participants a trophy and medals for the best teams and individuals after the competition.
