On 23 April 2026, during Exercise “FLASH 26” at the Army Training Area “Krivolak”, units of the Light Infantry Battalion Group conducted activities simulating operations in a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat environment, aimed at evaluating their readiness for a timely and effective response.
The scenario involved the detection and identification of contamination, reporting procedures, and the implementation of individual and collective protection measures. The units operated in line with standard operating procedures, demonstrating a high degree of coordination, discipline, and the ability to function effectively in complex and hazardous environments. In the final phase, decontamination procedures were conducted, allowing the safe continuation of operations.
Parallel to the CBRN activities, the Engineers of the Light Infantry Battalion Group carried out tasks for the detection, securing, and neutralization of unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices, thereby ensuring the safe movement and operation of units in the field.
The execution of the exercise activities is proceeding in accordance with the planned schedule, thereby confirming the combat readiness and capability of the Light Infantry Battalion Group to deal with CBRN threats, as well as its effective performance in conditions involving the presence of unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices.
