The second meeting of the coordination group for the preparation of this year’s 17th Balkan Countries Chiefs of Defence Conference was held in Tirana, Republic of Albania from 6 to 8 March, 2024.
At the meeting, representatives of the B-9 Forum member countries reviewed the tasks of the joint statement of the 16th Chiefs of Defence Conference, the remarks of the first meeting of the coordination group, and the subgroups on asymmetric threats and on education, training and exercises, as well as the progress of activities since the first meeting.
At the same time, materials necessary for the implementation of the 17th Conference were prepared, as well as the conclusions of this second meeting of the coordination group.
At this and the previous meeting, the participants reaffirmed their efforts to enhance and promote regional stability and security in the Balkans through continuous military cooperation.
